The quake victims who were turned to homeless in the last devastating earthquake of Baisakh 2072 are now worried about the knocking Rainy Season. “GHARAMA BASNA PAYEKO CHHAINA. RAJYA LE KUNAI PANI YESO NAJAR LAYEKO DEKHEKO CHHAINA. SAMBANDHIT NIKAYALE PANI AABA CHASO NADIYEKO JASTO,” says Surya Shrestha, a quake victim. But the government is unable even to collect the record of the quake victim even after the completion of one year of the earthquake. Though the Central Bureau of Statistics has the target of collecting the record of the quake victims by the end of Chaitra; as there is no easy access of Internet in the village area, the bureau has not collected the expected statistics. “KAM AGADI BADHIRAKHEKO CHHA; KAM VAIRACHHA. RA SAMASYA CHAHI KE DEKHIYO BHANE – TAPAIKO CHAHI NETWORKING SAMBANDHI. FIELD MA KAAM CHAHI YO BHANDA BADHI VAYEKO HUNASAKCHHA. BADHI VAYEKO, PAKKAI BHACHHA. TARA CHAHI KE BHANE – INTERNET … ” SAYS SUMANRAJ ARYAL, DIRECTOR GENERAL, CENTRAL BUREAU OF STATISTICS. HE ADDS, “YO HAMILE CHAHI KABIL COMPUTED ASSISTANT TECHNOLOGY MA KAAM GARIRACHHAUN, TYO CHAHI INTERNET THROUGH. HAMRO GITC MA AUNUPARNE CENTRAL CERVER THROUGH. TYO GARDA INTERNET KO SAMASYA BHAI RACHHA.” According to the Director General, there is use of ICT in the collection of the statistics of the quake victim; this time they are deploying ICT (Internet and Communication Technology) tools to collect the data through the central server; however, there is problem of internet as due to lack of convenient Internet services in the villages, data collection has been affected. What he says can be the cause for not going to meet the deadline. - See more at: http://www.dcnepallive.com/video.php?nid=201398#sthash.2oUrgiaj.dpuf
